Students from Lima Senior put their gaming skills to the test to raise money for a good cause.

The Extra Life Gaming Marathon is an event that is held all over the country, and Spartans Giving Back is the group that is putting it on here in Lima.  This is the third year that the gaming marathon is being put on, where participants played all different kinds of games for 24 hours to raise money for Toledo Mercy Children's Hospital.

It's a great way to not only help the kids in the hospital, but also for the students playing the games, too.

"This is a chance for our students to do something positive and impact the world in a positive way," said Eric Tippie, coordinator of Spartans Giving Back.  "It gives our students something they can put on a resume, kind of separate themselves from the rest of the pack when they graduate, and do something cool and something they enjoy while doing it?."

Last year the event raised $1,800.
