A look at a New Knoxville lumber company that has been in the woodwork for over a century and they're still going strong.

Hoge Lumber Company was started in 1904, they have provided a variety of quality hardwood products for both local buyers and throughout the world. Hoge makes everything from bowling lanes to sports floors and custom residential interiors.

We caught up with president of Hoge Lumber Company, John Hoge and he tells us what has kept the company going for 113 years.

"We certainly. Don't do everything right but we're an honest company. We try to provide excellent service. We try to give people more value, we're not necessarily the cheapest guy but we think that the customer gets some excellent value for the money that they spent and that's sort of been the motto that we've had here all these years," says Hoge.

Hoge provided special old-aged white oak for Pope John Paul II 's chair during his visit to the Archdiocese of Vancouver in 1984. Hoge has also provided lumber work for buildings like Ohio State College, St. Rita's and Lima Memorial.
