New gear and gadgets for Wapak Police thanks to local businesses

The Wapakoneta Police Department has some new gear that will keep them safer while doing their job thanks to local businesses.

The Wapak Police Department now has a tactical vehicle, entry weapons, new vests, and shields. All the donations were made by the owner of Arby's in Wapakoneta and the vehicle marking was donated by local company iC Signs. Wapak Chief of Police Russel Hunlock says it's great that businesses in the community support their police department because it will ultimately be for the good of the entire community.

"It is all connected and it's very rewarding to know that you have such good support," commented Hunlock.

"They support us, we support the departments that keep the city strong and safe," said Owner of Arby's in Wapakoneta, Scott Moell.

"You think about ways you can help the community to be safer and you never think about how you can and this opportunity arose and to be able to help our police force be safer, help protect us is just phenomenal," said iC Signs Owner, Jeremy Kuhn.
