The Northwest Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition held their "Darkness to Light" summer yoga program at Faurot Park. While the event was designed to help people with their own mind and bodies, the event also raises awareness to others about the problem of human trafficking locally. Yoga is one of the ways that victims of trafficking can use to help deal with the situations they were forced to endure.

"We wanted to spread a little bit of awareness, about the fact that human trafficking does exist in our community. We see people who are trafficked for sex and for labor. We want to make sure people know about it so people can learn to recognize and respond and maybe make referrals to us if they see something in the community," says Ryn Farmer, the Rape Crisis & Anti-Human Trafficking Director for Crime Victim Services.

The cost to participate in the Yoga class was 10 dollars and all money raised will help victims of sex and labor trafficking in our area.
