Names and issues on this November's ballot

As November grows closer, it's important to know who or what will be on the ballot.

In Allen County, Keith Cheney is running against the incumbent David Berger for Mayor of the City of Lima.  Four of the Lima Council Ward positions are on the ballot; Ray Magnus is running against Todd Gordan for the 1st Ward, Carla Thompson against Jesse Lowe II for the 3rd Ward, Jamie Nixon against Teresa Adams for the 5th Ward, and Jon Neeper is running against Ann Miles for the 7th Ward.

In Delphos, John Parent has been named the Mayor to replace former Mayor Michael Gallmeier, but will have to run again this November.  Joshua Gillespie, Douglas Mullenhour, and Wayne Suever are also in the running for Delphos Mayor.

Some of the issues on the ballot for Allen County include an additional .25% sales tax for the Allen County Regional Transit Authority, as well as a tax levy renewal for the Shawnee Local School District and a 1% Income Tax Renewal for the Spencerville Local School District.

In Auglaize County, both Andrew Augsburger and David Weilbacher are running for the position of Municipal Court Judge.  Chad Dunlap, Rodney Metz, Daniel Graf, and Terry Campbell are running for Wapakoneta Council positions.

In Putnam County, some of the issues on the ballot include a property tax renewal to provide senior citizens service by the Putnam County Council on Aging, Inc. and a property tax renewal to provide sufficient funds to carry out health programs.  

Vantage Career Center is also looking at a property tax renewal for its current expenses.

The general election will be held on November 7th.
