More noticeable changes at the Allen County Courthouse as crews continue on a major renovation project.

The clock tower is nearly complete as paint, louvers, and the circular windows are installed and finished. The clock mechanisms will be installed later this year. Work on phase two is underway as the asbestos shingles are being removed and disposed of properly from the four spires and mansards. All of this work needed to be done prior to renovating anything on the inside of the courthouse.

"This will go a long way in insuring up the structure, we're excited. Once this is done, again starting the inside of the courthouse and the offices that are in there, the efficiencies that can be done and accomplished with the inside of the courthouse," commented Allen County Commissioner President, Cory Noonan.

The roof project is estimated at $670,000.
