The village of Kalida has been busy for a few days with this year's Pioneer Days festival.

The festivities for the 145th Pioneer Days kicked off on Thursday, September 7th and continued through the weekend with food, rides, and other activities for people to enjoy.  Saturday featured a car show across the midway in downtown Kalida.  Holding the event every year means that people come back for the festival, which can be a fun opportunity to see old friends.

"It is great - a lot of people come back and you can see old classmates, old friends, a lot of people from neighboring villages neighboring counties come over, it's a great reunion and we have a lot of fun a lot of things to do for all ages," said Bill Rieman, publicity manager for the Pioneer Days festival.

Pioneer Days continued through Sunday, September 10th, with the annual parade at 1 p.m.
