Pioneer Days Parade doesn't disappoint the people who watched

It’s billed as Northwest Ohio’s Largest Parade, and thousands of people came out to see all of it.

The Pioneer Days Parade is celebrated the festival's history with this year theme of “Making Memories for 145 Years”.   Bands and first responders from across Putnam county, join local organization to make the annual parade something to see.   Organizers say they have over 200 entries each year and it will take nearly 2 hours to for every one to get through the parade route.

For Pioneer Days Queen Tori Niese this is her first time in the parade and happy to represent the festival in the parade.

Tori Niese, Pioneer Days Queen says, "I guess a lot of people will be looking up to me and watching me, the kids are already looking at me.  I feel really special and important and I feel that all of my hard work is coming to an end and paying off."

The four day festival wrapped up Sunday with drawing for the $5000 big ticket prize.
