Obie and Sally once called Texas their home. They're now living in the Buckeye State rescued after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and surrounding areas.

They are among 11 dogs picked up by local rescue organization Silver Linings of Ohio.

Jessica Gogley is the director of the organization and drove 24 hours south Thursday to save them and deliver supplies donated by the Animal Protection League of Mercer County.

Gogley and another volunteer stayed on the outskirts of Houston when they arrived, but witnessed the evidence of massive flooding and damage caused by Harvey.

Now back in Ohio, five of the dogs she's rescued will be fostered at the Auglaize County Humane Society, a privilege for the workers there.

For Silver Linings of Ohio, fostering is one thing, but finding these dogs a home is the main goal. Gogley says Bailey's original owner has actually reached out to her and they will be reunited in Texas soon.
