A busy morning for Findlay Police after a traffic stop led to a seven mile chase and a crash.

It started just after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning when an officer tried to pull over Joey O'Neal Jackson in the 2500 block of North Main Street near Ellis Avenue. Police say he initially stopped, but then took off, driving down city streets, including through the parking lots and lawns of an apartment complex and a nursing home. The chase eventually headed west out of town on County Road 95, hitting speeds of 100 miles per hour. Officers say Jackson lost control and crashed into a ditch near the intersection of Township Road 96.

He faces several charges including fleeing and eluding and driving while intoxicated. He also had two outstanding warrants. A female passenger was arrested for allegedly having drug paraphernalia.
