One of the two teens charged in the shooting on Mother's Day appeared in court Wednesday for an amenability hearing.

15-year-old Rakeem Jones appeared before Judge Glenn Derryberry at the Allen County Juvenile Court. The incident happened on Mother's Day at the 300 block of North Collett Street. Police say it started as two groups of young black males arguing and it escalated quickly to both groups firing multiple shots at each other. No one was injured, but bullets hit a few cars and homes.

Judge Derryberry will have to decide if Jones' case will be transferred to the Allen County Common Pleas Court. If so, Jones will be tried as an adult.
