Community members come together to help the Mercy Club push medical care forward in our region.

Thursday night, during their 40th annual reception, Mercy Club got to thank the donors for supporting all of their projects. Recently, the club has helped the hospital buy three 3D mammography units and equipped their hybrid operating room. Over the past four decades, they have been able to raise tens of millions of dollars for St. Rita’s to offer state of the art medical care to their patents.

“A lot of the expansions we have been able to do over the years, the capital projects and the technology we have been able to bring to the region and just really ministry outreach in some of the programs that we do, would not be possible if it wasn’t for contributions from the community. We really rely on the community to support us so we can do those extra things and take us to that next level,” said Jacqueline Daley-Perrin, President of the Mercy Health Foundation.

Because of the impact he has to the community, Father David Ross was picked to be this year’s Mercy Club Award winner. The award goes to individuals for their humanitarian actions. Father Ross was the 39th person to get the award.
