The 24th annual Equestrian Therapy Program Ride a Thon and Pumpkin Festival is coming up Saturday, October 14th.

The yearly event is held to help raise money for the Equestrian Therapy Program, which provides activities and therapies for the disabled in the Lima area.  The Ride a Thon will feature different events like Ohio State tickets and other items being sold off in silent, Chinese, and live auctions, but the biggest part of the day involves the members of the program showing their skills off for family and friends.

"It brings our volunteers, our riders, and their families out, and they get to see our people come out and really show off their skills that day," said Michelle Sabol, Executive Director of the Equestrian Therapy Program.  "We have wonderful decorations, our staff is just phenomenal, very artistic; our theme this year is around the world, and it's really a great day."

The event will be held this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fassett Farm, 22532 Bowsher Road in Cridersville.
