You'll be seeing a change in speed on a portion of Eastown Road in the coming weeks.

A speed limit reduction will be happening on Eastown between Elida and Diller roads. Allen County Engineer Brion Rhodes asking commissioners to approve the request due to safety concerns. All county roads have a 55-mile an hour speed limit unless otherwise posted. With increased traffic on that portion of Eastown Road, the reduction to 45-miles per hour will help with drivers entering and exiting the roadway.

The speed reduction request still has to be approved through the Ohio Department of Transportation and drivers should see speed limit signs by November 1st.
