The tornado that struck Celina took a toll on some parts of the city - but one of the parts that was hit hard was Celina's commercial and industry section, with businesses and stores suffering quite a bit of damage.  For many of the locations affected, business cannot continue until things get back into working order.

"By and large it hit the commercial and industry areas - Crown Corporation has a million square-foot building here, and they had a substantial amount of that that was hit by the tornado and they had quite a bit of damage there," said Jeff Hazel, Mayor of Celina.  "We’re not sure at this point how much damage was done, but it’s difficult enough that it’s really hampered their operation."

"There’s just a lot going on around here - talking to construction workers, electricians, insurance adjusters, and we’re just dealing with that at this point - the most important thing here is trying to clean up some of the mess because it was tore up pretty good on the inside," said Kerry Roberts, Owner of C-Town Wings.

But the owner of  C-Town Wings is keeping his head high, and is determined to help out his employees with a fundraiser to support them until they can get things up and running.

"We live day to day in this industry, so we need to get whatever we can to take care of them, and I think we can raise a lot of money on this," Roberts said.

The C-Town Wings barn sale and bake sale will be held on Wednesday, November 15th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the red and gray barn behind the restaurant.  Items up for sale include restaurant equipment, Christmas items and more.  All proceeds will go towards the employees until the restaurant can open again.
