There are skilled craftsmen and artisans around the world, but sometimes they do not get paid fairly for their hard work.

That is why the Petersburg Parishes hold their Ethical Trade Sale.  This is the 6th year for their sale which features food items like coffee and chocolate, as well as, baskets, jewelry and Christmas decorations from counties all over the world. The money raised from this sale helps developing  countries send their children to school, build wells and participate in projects that strengthen their communities, by cutting out the middle man and getting more money directly to the people who are making these items.

Audrey Gutman, organizer of the Ethical Trade Sale says,“It’s a great way to help people across the world.   A lot of time on T.V. we see people suffering or people living in very poor conditions.  You get a great produce and you get to help someone at the same time. “

The sale will go on Sunday November 12th  from 9 a-m to 10:30 am and 11:30 am to 1 pm in the basement of the Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins.
