Robert McColley recommended to replace Cliff Hite

An Ohio senate committee has selected their recommendation to replace Cliff Hite as Ohio's First District Senator.

The screening committee will be recommending Robert McColley to take over the 1st District Senate Seat, that serves eleven counties including some in West Central Ohio. McColley currently is in his second term as the state representative for Ohio's 81st District. The Senate Republican Caucus will meet to accept the committee's recommendation and they hope to have McColley in the seat by early December.

In October, Hite resigned from the Ohio Senate, originally citing health and personal problems. However, later it came out that there was allegations of sexual misconduct and he confirmed in a post to Twitter that those allegations were true.
