One person is dead after a two car crash Friday morning in southern Auglaize County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around at 6:20 a.m., when 72-year-old Sandra Vondenhuevel of New Bremen, was driving northbound on State Route 364. Vondenhuevel failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by 61-year-old Nancy Geir of Celina, who was driving eastbound on State Route 219. Both were taken to nearby hospitals. Vondenhuevel was not wearing her seat belt and was pronounced dead at Joint Township Memorial Hospital.

Geir was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Mercy Health St. Rita's.
