Stress levels can be high this time of year, especially for students, with fall finals quickly approaching.

So, the staff at OSU Lima has planned several activities to help students manage their stress.  The therapy dogs from Lima Memorial Health System were on hand to help out with the stress.  The furry friends greeted students and staff in both study lounges and classrooms. Everyone was encouraged to take a moment to interact with the pups.

"For finals week it's very stressful for the students and this just helps kids calm down,"  says Helen Bibler with the LMHS Therapy Dog Program. "They can just relax, enjoy the dogs, and not worry about their test coming up. It calms them before they go in to take a test.  It's been very effective so far, we've had a lot of kids love all the dogs.  We've taken them to different buildings, different classrooms, down to the lounges, the library, where ever they're at."

The dogs also visited schools, prisons, and other locations throughout the year.
