Last month, Your Hometown Stations told you the final step to bring a 250 million dollar recycling and manufacturing plant to Wapakoneta was in the State of Ohio's hands. This week, the state took action to make it happen.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a nearly 1.3%, 8 year tax credit to Pratt Industries to build a new facility at this shovel-ready site on the south side of the city. Pratt will invest around 250 million dollars for the first phase of the project, which would create around 100 jobs with an average pay of over $25 an hour, with the potential of up to 300 jobs and additional investments by the company for future phases. The facility will be used to recycle cardboard and paper and turn it into new cardboard containers.

No word yet on when ground will be broken for the plant.
