A new study finds that 40% of Ohioans are either living in poverty or just squeaking by.

The "Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed" or "ALICE" study released an update in October, revealed conditions on Ohio and Allen County have not much changed since the last report. The study shows that 67% of jobs in Ohio pay less than $20 dollars an hour. The study looks at what single people and families need to make in order to not only stay above the poverty line, but also what they need to live comfortably.

President of the United Way of Greater Lima, Carol Braden-Clarke, says the ALICE study paints a more accurate picture because it looks beyond what people need to just survive. To read the full report, you can visit http://ouw.org/alice/.
