Hearing the word of god through spoken ministry is something that many people are used to hearing every Sunday - but Rescue Me Ministries, which is put on by Bryan and Yvonne Hutson, goes a step further and also incorporates the power of song with spreading the word.

The couple visited Spencerville Trinity and Westside United Methodist Church to display their talents and also talk to the congregations there.  The Hutsons say that they hope that talking about their experiences will help others that are going through the same thing.

"We go through things, God allows us to go through things that we experience, good and bad, that we can share that with somebody else to maybe encourage someone, to give somebody a little bit of hope," said Bryan Hutson. "Yvonne often talks about people needing hope these days, and that is so true - we all need hope."

It's not often that churches are able to hear from and meet with others outside of the church during a service - and Pastor Joshua Andrews is grateful for the chance to work with Bryan and Yvonne at both of his churches.

"It’s good to have different voices come in so they’re just not hearing from me or anybody else here in the congregation, but utilizing all the talent that God gives through voice through preaching through other elements that correspond with Christianity," said Rev. Andrews, who is the Pastor at both Westside and Trinity.  "Bryan and Yvonne do an excellent job with their singing, it's just an excellent way to do that, and another, different look on the gifts of Christianity."

Rescue Me Ministries was started in 2012 and the Hutsons bring that ministry to churches nationwide.
