Keeping the buses moving, that's the goal at the Lima Allen County Regional Transit Authority.

In November, voters rejected a sales tax levy. Since then they've had to slash services, including cutting some routes. Tuesday, the board of trustees decided they have to move forward with putting another tax levy on the May Ballot, but for a lesser amount. If this one fails, they could be forced to shut down.

"We're not the boy who cried wolf. These are very serious issues and RTA is very important to the community in terms of the people that it serves. Not just the group that it serves, but the entire community in terms of economic development," said Mike Hayden, Vice-chair of the Allen County Regional Transit Authority Board of Trustees.

Since the levy failed, there has been no free transportation for community events or non-profits and no monthly discounts. Also, buses are now only running until 5:45 p.m.
