The flu is hitting hard across the country, and now treating the illness is becoming more difficult in some areas.

Pharmacists in Northern Kentucky are reporting difficulty keeping the flu-fighting drug Tamiflu in stock at a time when flu-related hospitalizations are rising. Locally, Lima Memorial is seeing more flu cases but as far as a shortage is concerned, they are not worried.

"We looked at our wholesalers where we get that drug from, and it appears that there's plenty of stock on-hand," says Director of Pharmacy Care Transitions Brett Randolph. "Now, hearing a little bit of news here and there we tend to stockpile or stock up if we need to but I think we're prepared here at Lima Memorial to handle any flu patients that come our way."
