Ohio Northern University Political Science Professor Dr. Robert Alexander says that having Senate Minority Whip Richard Durbin (D-IL) in the room was a good sign of a bipartisan effort to immigration reform, but the big story to come from the meeting was the president's alleged use of profanity. Alexander says that this trend can only set the president's efforts backwards when it comes to moving his policies forward.

"The fact that President Trump now has kind of veered off in this direction is a little bit unsettling," says Alexander. "It might kind of move things back a little bit so where we had some promise in one area where there was some bipartisan support, now we're talking about President Trump's comment."
