With very cold temperatures being the norm this winter, you may already be using more natural gas to help heat up your home.

If that is the case, you're in luck -- according to Dominion, starting on Tuesday, Jan. 16, prices for the next 30 days are down 34 cents from last month, meaning that keeping your home warm won't cost an arm and a leg.  Although, if there are a lot of leaks or problems with your furnace, you might see a higher price on your bill, but there are ways to help prevent leaks from draining your wallet.

"You can use saran wrap and duct tape and find the drafts in your house, close them up under your doors with balled up towels or put some plastic on your windows," said Peggy Ehora, External Affairs Manager for Dominion.  "You can turn your thermostat down a little bit when you go to bed and turn it back up when you get up the next day; every little thing that you can do will certainly help lower your gas bill."

Dominion can also offer help for those who are not able to pay their bills, contact Dominion for more details.
