I'm thrilled to be starting my career in Lima, but I'm no stranger to the area. I was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio, "America's Rockin Roller Coast."
In December, I graduated early from the E.W Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. There I received my Bachelors of Science in Journalism with a focus on Entertainment Television and Political Science. While in school I was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and interned at both WBNS 10TV and WSYX/WTTE ABC6 in Columbus. I also spent some time abroad, covering local and national news stories in Buenos Aires, Argentina
This fall, I made the decision to pursue my meteorology ambitions and was accepted to Mississippi State University where I am currently working to obtain my Bachelors of Science in Geosciences.
I was lucky enough to discover my passion for the camera at a young age. According to my parents by second grade I was telling everyone I was going to be a "news lady" when I grew up. After that I spent every waking moment, dancing, singing or with my head buried in a book.
Fourteen years later and not much has changed. In my down time I still love curling up with a good book, trying new foods and hanging out with my rescue pup, Vinny.
