It has been one of the worst years for influenza and health officials say it's not over yet.

Just in January of 2018, 96 people in Allen County have been hospitalized with the flu. It has been primarily Influenza A. The Allen County Health District is still encouraging people who have not gotten the flu shot to get one. It's not too late and even if the effectiveness isn't where they hoped it would be it's better than not getting one.

They are available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the health department from 8 to 9 in the morning and 3 to 4 in the afternoon. Even if you don't have insurance or can't afford a flu shot they can help you.
