Senator Sherrod Brown unveiled a plan to create jobs and invest in American infrastructure that is a different take than the 1.5 trillion dollar plan offered up by President Trump.

Brown has offered to work with President Trump to pass bipartisan legislation to address the nation's infrastructure needs. Trump's plan is for around 200 billion dollars in federal funding and the rest of the funding would come from states and local government by raising gas taxes and other fees. Brown's plan is for more federal funding rather than putting the burden on drivers and local governments.

"Well the president's plan has almost no money in it. It is relying on local communities. And you know in Lima, and Allen County, and Wapak and Putnam County to come up with the tens of millions of dollars to build infrastructure and that's just not going to happen. State and local governments don't have the money to do this. Our plan pretty much says you take away the tax breaks that went to the richest people in the country two months ago and you start paying for infrastructure, real infrastructure that way," said Senator Sherrod Brown.
