Companies both big and small from all over West Central Ohio gathered this morning to talk about safety.

West Central Ohio Safety Council held their annual awards banquet this morning to celebrate the many achievements of over 100 safety council members.  Awards were given out to the companies that had the lowest accident rate and the companies who have not lost time to injury or illness.  Council gave“Ruth Kreher Safety Person of the Year Award”  from Jason Glaser of Rudolph Foods, and Allen County Homeland Security Office got $1,000 Community Safety Grant. For the purchase of drones.

Craig Hohenbrink, President, West Central Ohio Safety Council says, "The main goal for the West Central Ohio Safety Council is to provide safety topics that companies are able to take back to their organization, provide safety talks to in order to promote safety and well being not just at work but also at home, with the ultimate goal of keeping everyone from getting hurt at their facility”.

Guest speaker Brian Blasko also provided valuable entertainment for the safety council members who attended.
