Delphos St. John's students celebrated their graduation from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education or D.A.R.E. Program.

47 fifth graders spent time at the Delphos Recreation Center for some bowling and lunch to wrap up the time that they have been going through the D.A.R.E. Program. The students have been learning all about the dangers of illegal drugs throughout the school year, to help encourage them to make good decisions in the future.

"We learned to not do drugs, tobacco has a lot of nicotine, same as cigarettes, and being drunk could cause you to go into a coma," said Alex Herron.

"We learned about tobacco and marijuana and alcohol, and how they're not good for you, so we don’t do it when we’re older and get in trouble, because they can harm your body and you can get in trouble," said Ellie Rahrig.

The students also received diplomas for completing the program.
