Students at Perry High School are reminding their peers to buckle up and stay focused on the roads.

Students involved in the school's Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) group put up signs reminding students to drive safe by using their seat belts and putting their phones away when they are behind the wheel. It is a part of a series the group has been doing to keep students aware of the dangers of distracted driving so that they can avoid being a part of a sad story.

"They're important to our group because I think that we care, especially, about keeping every keeping everybody in the school safe and we don't want any sad stories," says junior Jillella Weingart. "We just want to see our friends be safe and not text and drive and buckle up."

The signs will be permanent fixtures at the school.
