Mother's Day is just a few days away and people have been preparing to treat mom to something nice.

Local businesses have been busy, getting families ready to celebrate that special day with mom. Whether it be chocolate and coffee or a bouquet of flowers, these businesses have been sending families off with just the right gift.

"They’ve been coming in and getting the chocolate-covered raspberries, milk and dark, it’s just been a wonderful influx of folks," said Stephen Ambrose, co-owner of Winans Chocolates + Coffees.

"I think one of my favorite parts with families is when you see the kids walk in and their eyes brighten up when they see the candy case, and they really want to pick out something special for mom," said Amy Ambrose, co-owner of Winans Chocolates + Coffees.

"The most popular I think is a combination of different things - we’ve been doing a lot of hanging baskets and combination pots for the front porch, since we did have a late spring, it was cold a lot longer, and then also just fresh flowers - I would say are pretty 50-50 on that," said Dena Wireman, manager for Haehn Florist.

And celebrating Mother's Day doesn't necessarily have to involve a present that you buy; for some, just being together with mom is the true gift that you can give for Mother's Day.

"My sister and I are taking our mom to brunch in Findlay tomorrow, and then we’re going to go to a boutique, so I hope to find her something there," said Carly Buzzard.

"I want to just spend time with the kids, make memories, enjoy them while they’re young, or older ones if you have them - just getting a phone call or a message from them makes all the difference," said Rebecca Manger.
