Allen County Commissioners met today with the RTA executive director, in what will now be a more common occurrence.

RTA Executive Director Shelia Haney said the two entities will meet quarterly to go over numbers and discuss how the two can help each other. Haney said RTA's first quarter finances were flat even. She said the RTA board is now discussing the possibility of another levy on the November ballot after the failed levy last year. This time, they would only ask for a tenth of a cent tax increase, compared to the quarter of a cent increase. From what they learned from the failed levy last November, Haney said the RTA is focusing on educating the public on the services they provide and how useful they are to the community.
