The Elderly Day Care Center drove their way through memory lane Wednesday afternoon at their annual Men's Club Car Show.

There were twenty cars on display at the annual event, ranging from classic to military vehicles to a 1946 Chevy Mirada.

The car show gave members of the Men's Club and the Lima community a chance to connect with each other through old memories. Senior Research Specialist, Gerry Burton says that dementia and memory issues are common at the adult day care and that this event is a great way to remind the members of a time when they were in the workforce or raising their own family.

"These cars are what helped make this country and that defines who we are by how we spend money, time, and effort restoring these vehicles because we want to keep that part of our youth alive," explained Burton.

Burton says that there was a great turnout and that is was a beautiful day to make memories.
