Stop family destruction, say no to forced removal of children and fight ignorance, not immigration. Those were the sentiments expressed at a peaceful protest in downtown Lima Thursday morning.

Around 50 people came out to voice their concerns about President Trump's immigration reform that allows children to be taken from their families. The raid of a Sandusky gardening company just last week by immigration officials was brought up as it left 50 children without their parents, as 114 people were arrested. Those attending the rally are demanding that separation of families must stop.

Rallies and vigils were held in more than 50 cities across the United States on Thursday to protest the separation of children and their parents. Many in attendance feel if people would take time and put themselves in those families shoes that change could happen.
