Where do you go for trusted information and help?

For people or families in a crisis, seeking help and information by turning to Google or social media is not the answer. At Ohio's 2018 Opiate Conference this week in Columbus, the Ohio Addiction Policy Forum was promoting a new portal from the Addiction Resource Center. By going to the website or calling the new free phone number, families or loved ones struggling with addiction can get reliable good information that can help.

"It is staffed every day with peer coaches, with counselors, folks that can guide you in the right direction, by county, where you can get the help you need based on the issues that you are having with addiction, for any type of addiction really. So we encourage all Ohioans to take advantage of this amazing helpline for resourcing to help you get the help that you need," explained Diana Yoder, Ohio Addiction Policy Forum.

Support from Addiction Resource Center comes from advocates in the know. The number to call is 833-301-HELP or go to their website addictionresourcecenter.org.
