The Lima Area Black Ministerial Alliance wrapped up their joint vacation bible school and used the occasion to support youth in the community.

The group presented a $1,000 check to the Lima Freedom School, a summer program that gives students a place to grow and help them learn over summer vacation. It is the third year the group has donated to the program, saying that it is important to them to invest in something positive in the community.

"What we wanted to do, is do something very positive and invest back in our youth because they are our future," says Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, President of the LABMA. "We wanted to see them flourish academically as well as spiritually."
