Honda Employees are giving back to the communities that they live in.

As part of “Honda’s Week of Service,”  employees from the Transmission plant in Russell Point helped out by making improvements to the Bradfield Community Center.  The volunteers installed new backboards and painted the court basketball poles.  They also mulched and clean up the landscaping around the building.  This was one of 500 projects Honda employees and dealerships are doing nationwide for the “Week of Service”, with the mission to help make their communities better.

Pilate Bradley, Honda Transmission employee said, “From a company perspective that is what we really want to do.  We just don’t want to come in and just have wages that feedback oblivious into the economy.  But we want to make sure our associates are spending that time, putting back into the community.  Whether it’s through activities like this or several of us read for reading programs, during the summer time and really have an injection back into the children of the community.”

Besides the Bradfield Center, the volunteers from Honda Transmission were also during community service projects in Logan and Hardin counties.
