It is never too early to sign up for Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure in Findlay this September.

Their goal this year is $250,000, some of which will go to breast cancer research and some will also come back to surrounding counties, leaving an impact on the Lima area. There are multiple races you can sign up for and there will be plenty of activities going on apart from that. After all, the day is more like a celebration of breast cancer survivors than just another race.

"It's so much more than a race," says Mary Westphal, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio. "We do consider it an event because it's a celebration and that's why we structure it so there's a survivor parade, we have all kinds of sponsor tents with sponsors doing giveaways. It's not just come, do your race, and go away."

The race takes place at the Blanchard Valley Hospital campus in Findlay on Saturday, September 29, 2018, taking off from the starting line at 9 am. To register, visit www.KomenNWOhio.com.
