The Republican candidate for secretary of state, making his pitch to a crowd in Lima, Friday afternoon.

State Senator Frank LaRose, speaking at the Republican Luncheon about his passion for elections. LaRose spoke on his part on helping the new Congressional Redistricting Plan that passed in May, and how he's become the go-to person for elections in the State Senate. In office, LaRose said he'd like to get young people more interested in voting. He wants to be a part of that congressional redistricting in 2021 and wants to help bring more small businesses to Ohio.

"It's servant leadership, this is what I learned in the Army. You know, serving in public office isn't necessarily a great way to earn a living but it is a great way to serve your community and that's why I decided to do it. I was in the Army for 10 years, part of that experience was I got to see people vote for the first time," explained Senator LaRose.

LaRose goes up against Democratic candidate Kathleen Clyde and Libertarian candidate Dustin Nanna, in the November Election.
