Over $20,000 was raised for the Walk to End Alzheimer's here in Lima.

The rain did not stop over 300 people from joining the Walk to End Alzheimer's today at the Ohio State Lima Campus.

Those who registered did more than walk, there was a ceremony beforehand and games throughout the day.

Ethan Misson who walked today says he and his sister came for their grandma.

"It was very good. I like to see everyone coming together about this organization because it helps us feel better about our grandma," says Mission.

For those who worked today, the event was more than just a walk.

"To say Alzheimer's is intrusive into our lives would be so real, and it's our responsibility I think as humans to take a stand, make an effort, educate, and bring people some help when they're having these problems with Alzheimer's and dementia," says Daniel Lee.

Brittany Beltz says that the walk went very smoothly, even though the rain.

"This is actually my first walk with this position, so it was definitely really important to me and very special and even with a little bit of rain we had an awesome event," says Beltz.
