A local wrestling organization paid their respects to local first responders.

Wrestling and Respect (W.A.R.) Wrestling held their first Freedom Fight to honor first responders from the greater Lima area. They gave free admission to any first responder for three hours of live wrestling entertainment. The organization wanted to thank local law enforcement for their service, as well as expose students to them in a positive light.

"We wanted to do this because in Lima sometimes people may have a negative view of some first responders and we just wanted people, students, in particular, to see police officers, firefighters, EMTs, all those people who take a tremendous sacrifice, in a positive light," says Josh Mayer, Senior Official for W.A.R.

The event does not yet have a location set for next month but will move to the Bradfield Center starting November.
