The Lima Family YMCA is partnering with LEGO and For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, or FIRST.

The YMCA will have weekly LEGO workshops where children will create machines with moving parts, all out of LEGOs. Monday evening was the first night of the course and is open to kids from first through fifth grade. The workshop is held in the chapel in the Lima YMCA. Each week, something will be built that will later be added on to a big project that will be presented at the end.

Babysitting Supervisor, Skylynn Prine says, "We have five weeks that we're gonna build a town or something like that they want to do and then we're gonna put it all together at the end into one giant project so that they kinda get to learn different helping skills with each other and then they get to learn how to build things and do different things like that."

Classes go through October 22nd and there is still time to sign up.
