Teachers in classrooms across the nation, teaching a new generation about the events of September 11th.

3rd-grade students at Lima City Schools South Science and Technology Magnet School hearing about the tragedy and how it unfolded from their teacher Kimberly Amerson. She took the time to explain to the children what she remembered of that day. They then made links to add to a chain of remembrance to honor all those whose lives were changed by the attacks on American soil. Amerson says it's important that this generation and generations to come are told the story about the day that changed our nation.

"They were just really scared, I mean just looking at the pictures, I mean because like I said they had no idea that this event actually took place. So, you know it was just a lot of emotions you know behind it and they were definitely running high," said Kimberly Amerson.

Amerson hopes the students will go home and talk with their families about what they learned today.
