Members of the Democratic Party are calling for action once again from Attorney General Mike DeWine.

Thursday (10/04/18) Lima Mayor David Berger and UAW Local 1219 President Mike Copeland called for DeWine to act on behalf of the state. In June, Berger originally called for DeWine to join the lawsuit against opioid companies. Berger said he took action by choosing not to do anything. Now, following a recent ad about health care, Berger and Copeland say DeWine should own up to not protecting health care such as pre-existing conditions in the past. DeWine is on record in 2011 filing suit against Obamacare and pre-existing conditions coverage.

"So when I hear of ads now being played saying that as a candidate he has, in fact, this wonderful track record around this set of issues, he does not," Berger said. "It's not true. Those ads are not true."

DeWine is up against Richard Cordray for Ohio governor.
