OPTAVIA shows healthy game day alternatives

Sometimes tailgating is more about the food than the game, and some local health experts showed that you can score a touchdown with some healthy options for your next party.

OPTAVIA demonstrated some healthy alternatives to some game day staples like dips, chips, and sliders.  The group puts on cooking demonstrations every couple of month. They are trying to break down the misconceptions about healthy eating, and show that healthy food can be simple and full of flavor.

“A lot of people struggle with learning how to eat properly and healthy recipes and so we have put together this class,” says Rachel Best, Certified Transformational Coach for OPTAVIA. “We have it about every two months, and we cook healthy recipes that people are actually blown away by because they are so tasty, but yet they are so simple and so easily put together.”

The next healthy cooking demonstration will be before Thanksgiving,  For more information about OPTAVIA log on to www.rachelbest.tsfl.com.
