The Ohio Department of Transportation gets ready to move into another step of their 135 million dollar I-75 project.

The project around Findlay will add one travel lane in both the northbound and southbound lane in the project area. Thursday, ODOT announced that Lima Avenue will close for one year beginning this Sunday night so they can work on the reconstruction of the interchanges at U.S. 68 and State Route 15. Access to U.S. 68 will remain open, but it will require a little more of a drive to get where you want to go.

"The existing ramps will be utilized as long as possible and they'll be used until we get the new ramps constructed. So once the new ramps are constructed we will have what we call an off-peak hours closure. That will be the only time those ramps will be completely closed and again that will be like a Friday night through Monday morning and that has to be done to transition from the old ramps to the new ramps," explained Robert White, Project Engineer.

The anticipated completion date of the project is August 2020. For more information, visit the Ohio Department of Transportation's website.
