The trial for 32-year-old Megan Schnipke entered day two on Tuesday. She is the third woman charged following the death of Hilty Home resident, 76-year-old Phyllis Campbell, in January.

The two other women charged, Rachel Friesel and Destini Fenbert, were among those called upon to testify against Schnipke. Friesel and Fenbert both plead guilty to forgery and gross patient neglect and are serving time in Putnam County jail. Through the morning, the prosecution called many members of the Hilty home staff that worked January 6th and 7th. During cross-examination, the defense would point out the lack of training and communication that led to the death of Campbell who died of hypothermia after wandering outside. Schnipke is facing the same charges as the other two woman plus a second-degree misdemeanor.
