The Ohio Department of Transportation remains on schedule with the Findlay I-75 project as they announced the next big opening.

The fly-over ramp that will connect I-75 southbound to Routes 68 and 15 will open on Monday, weather dependent. ODOT also announced that the on-ramp from State Route 12 to 75 opened today and by the end of the day the off-ramp will open up as well. As one piece is completed, it helps to start the next piece, which is to shift all of I-75 traffic slightly to the west, on to the new structures being built. That should happen by the end of the year.

"That allows us to close the existing ramp. The existing ramp which we call a loop ramp which is 75 to 68 south needs to close so that we can build a fill across it to shift 75 traffic over on to it," explained Rob White, Ohio Department of Transportation Project Engineer.

I-75 will also open up to three lanes in both directions north of U.S. 224. That should happen around the first of December.
